LifeHiscost Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 While rummaging around the amount of paper that accumulates in this house in a very short time, trying to determine between, keep, set aside for later use, share, and throw away, I ran across this paper, written by my wife some time ago, no date on it so no time can be isolated when it was written. It was so moving, profound, and revealing, and touched my heart so deeply, I placed it in the categories, share and keep. Maybe there is someone out there who can relate as it tells me clearly why she is the one God chose especially for me, knowing He knew exactly what I needed. Here it is, unedited, except for who it is described to be from. In His Arms by a devoted spouse He held me in His arms that night. Gently lifting me from my bed, He set me on His lap, pressing my head to His breast, rocking back and forth like a mother comforting her sick child. I felt I was lying on the hot desert sand. Soft winds only sent waves of heat over my body. I heard soft conversation but could not see them. I knew that Jesus had unstopped my ears and I could hear angels. The morning birds had begun to practice their trills. They were above me and when I bent my head up to see them, there was a large open window. The poplar tree leaves began to scratch each other from an early morning breeze. The sound brought back happy childhood memories. "Father", I prayed, "don't let me wake up. Please let me stay here in this dream." Suddenly a coolness washed over me with droplets of water that made a tingling sound as they burst on my face. I awoke and my hair and body were soaked. "The fever has broken," I said to the angel in white who had not left my bedside all night. "I know," she smiled as she continued her labor of love. Blood pressure, pulse, temperature, antibiotics, IV fluids--checking over and over, pausing to read by a night light so as not to awaken me from my short sleep. We talked off and on through the night and I felt as close to her as a sister. Please, may I tell you my dream?" I asked her. "Sure," she replied. I told her all, and then added, "I believe Jesus gave me the dream." "So do I," she replied, and added, "you really needed it." There were more fevers and pains. The infection ranted and raved on But I had nothing to fear. Nothing to dread. All I needed to do was to close my eyes and relive in my memory the night He held me in His arms. Quote Lift Jesus up!!

Thanks for the post, that was a blessing no doubt. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
