Can you imagine....

That one day, those with pain, suffering and guilt over something they had no or little control over could come to the Church for help?

The weak, the weary and the wounded, come to the Church and Christ for help, health and happiness.

The first place a pregnant teen could go is to her Church, the transgendered... the abused....

One day..... I pray that it is soon.

If you receive benefit to being here please help out with expenses.

Cool. A tremendous amount of problems should be included in your list but are on the 'untolerable' list. Why do we as a church have to look down on ANYbody or problem. We've made our church a fort rather than a hospital.

If our church doesn't like the way someone behaves or believes ... we ban them from the fort. A fort has high walls and spikes at the top in case someone tries to climb in. No ... we are saints and we don't want sinners in our midst.

May we be one so that the world may be won.

Matthew 9:10. Later, Matthew invited Jesus and his disciples to his home as dinner guests, along with many tax collectors and other disreputable sinners. 11But when the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with such scum?”

12. When Jesus heard this, he said, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do.” 13. Then he added, “Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.’ For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”

In many ways we have still have not learned what this means.

Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence.

Funny you should say that. Last night I was informed that I was volunteered to take a pregnant teen that we know to the hospital should she go into labour during the daytime. The family lives in the next town over but her doctor is in our city and wants her to give birth here. They have only one car and the girl's dad has it at work. He is further away than I am, and prefers that I help them get to the hospital.

She is due closer to the end of the month but has already had some Braxton Hicks contractions. So this will be an adventure.

Her dad teaches at our academy. She was pregnant when she graduated from there last June.

There is no question about helping them. Her life will be difficult enough once the baby is born.

Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

I believe the gathering was in Matthew's Public House rather than in a private home, and Jesus invited Matthew to join His party.

Luk 5:27 And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me.

Luk 5:29 And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them.

Luk 5:30 But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?
