Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted January 12, 2010 Members Posted January 12, 2010 AP -WASHINGTON – A mystery object from space is about to whizz close by Earth on Wednesday. It won't hit our planet, but scientists are stumped by what exactly it is. Astronomers say it may be space junk or it could be a tiny asteroid, too small to cause damage even if it hit. It's 33 to 50 feet wide at most. NASA says that on Wednesday at 7:47 a.m. EST, it will streak by, missing Earth by about 80,000 miles. In the western United States it may be bright enough to be seen with a good amateur telescope. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

Outta Here Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Anyone watch Dr. Who? Could it be...a Time and Relative Dimension in Space ship??? Even if not, I think it's cool. Hope someone will catch a good image of it! Quote
Guest Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 I used to know a girl who was a Dr. Who NUT! She also read Tarrot cards, had a ouija board, and drew pictures of demons. Quote
Guest Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 She was a nice girl though, just misguided. Bless her heart. Quote

"The average centre-to-centre distance from the Earth to the Moon is ...238,857 mi..." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon). And the AP report above states that this fly by object will pass by earth at about 80,000 miles. If these facts are correct, its trajectory will bring it closer to earth than the moon is. Where will the moon be when this object "flies by"? Will the gravitational forces of the earth and the moon alter its trajectory for either good or bad? Knowing that we have used slingshot techniques to send our space exploration vehicles on their way, makes me curious about such. We don't know what will be and we can't do anything about it if we knew that it would swerve into earth or whatever. But the book of Revelation does say: "And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood" (Revelation 6:12). And that has literally happened. But Revelation also says: "And there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter." (Revelation 8:10-11). This has not happened yet but it will. Though the plagues are not falling as yet and I don't expect this object to fulfill this prophecy at this time, it reminds me that God is all knowing and His word is sure. We should lift up our voices with praise to God for we know that our redemption is drawing near. loudcry.2007@gmail.com Quote His child Henry Bible student/Author https://www.loudcry101.com

Atilla the Hun died in AD 453, but his rapacious attacks are well remembered for their severity. If this were yet in the future, Ellen White would address it, she does not. I accept the expositional views of recognized Biblical scholars. Not only that, this period in the seventh trumpet that is well in the past. We are now near the time of the 7th trumpet and approaching the 7th seal. Quote

Perhaps a wise man would show the rest of us where Atilla the Hun is found in the Spirit of prophecy. "Daniel is standing in his lot and in his place. The prophecies of Daniel and of John are to be understood; they interpret each other. They give to the world truths which everyone should understand. These prophecies are to be witnesses in the world. By their fulfillment in these last days, they will explain themselves." {PH135 5.1} Quote His child Henry Bible student/Author https://www.loudcry101.com
