Moderators Gerr Posted January 30, 2010 Moderators Posted January 30, 2010 It's been snowing since late yesterday afternoon, and it has piled up at least 8-10 inches of snow. It is still snowing fairly heavily. We may have more than we did before Christmas. How is it where you are? Quote
Cosmin M. Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Well, it snowed this entire week and yesterday and today it has not snowed at all. Here in Romania, even if it's a earthquake, we still have to go to school! Plus, I had Friday off and I have off the entire next week. We also didn't got o church for 2nd service, which starts at 4PM because it is really cold and windy and my grandmas don't do well in the cold. Quote

SivartM Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 6-9 inches of snow here. We're staying home from church too. Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted January 30, 2010 Administrators Posted January 30, 2010 It has just begun to snow here. We have a nice coating of white so far but we are only expected to get 2-4 inches here just north of Washington, DC. South of DC in Virginia they are supposed to get much more. Moderators Gerr Posted January 30, 2010 Author Moderators Posted January 30, 2010 BTW, dgrimm, birds never touched the bread crumbs I put out last time it snowed here. I am feeling sorry for the birds so I just broke bread into crumbs and put them in a pan and put it out under the porch. I'll see if they'll touch them. Quote

Liz Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 7 and a 1/2 inches dumped on us Thursday and Friday morning, we had freezing fog this morning, so church was canceled. We normally don't get that much snow so it pretty much shut this town down since Thursday. Quote For what will a man be profited, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul? Dottie Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 It's been yucky here, cloudy, and a chance of showers this afternoon. Expect high temp to be about 77F. Guess I'll have to call daughter to see what it's like where she is. Quote

The funny thing is that I saw a bird pecking & scratching on the partially snow-covered crumbs and rice I put out a month ago. And the fresh crumbs I put out this morning which is in full view just a few feet away is ignored! Quote
GreatLakesGramma Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 We have had no snow, but it was very cold this morning, 5 degrees F when my son came from house-sitting at my parents' house, to have breakfast and get ready for church here. It's been a nice, sunny day, but too cold for me to go out and walk this afternoon. Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26. Woody Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Hi Gerry. Snow here. Wind chill -11 . My pastor had the day off and agreed to provide church for me at home. It was cool. We studied the lesson, Bible, and read from Reviews and Ministry Magazines. A nice quiet Sabbath. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Guest Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 We got 7-8 inches of snow here, so did the home church thing. It was great. Later I put on my boots and took Mr. Murphy for a walk in the woods. He loves the snow. Quote
