teresaq Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 actually i apologize for laughing. something that so horribly misrepresents our Jesus and our God is not only not the least bit funny, it should drive us all to our knees in prayer. Quote facebook. /teresa.quintero.790

I liked a lot of what he said as far as disaplene (sp) is concerned. And he's really not talking about professional Martial Arts where there is real bloody violence. Its not any different than any other controled Karate tournament. I definitely will not judge what he's doing, if it brings people to Christ and they than read the Bible and they decide that this is not what Jesus teaches, than I think its a good thing. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Members abelisle Posted February 9, 2010 Members Posted February 9, 2010 Pete, I hear you loud and clear. As long as martial arts isn't the be-all and end-all and can be used as a vehicle to bring Jesus into their lives and help them be "renewed by the changing of your(their) minds" Rom. 12:2 Alex Quote We are our worst enemy - sad but true. http://abelisle.blogspot.com

"Let me make an impression for Jesus" and he broke his nose. SivartM Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Come to think of it, this probably represents Jesus better than many of the things we do in church... Twilight Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I must have missed the part in the bible where the disciples decided to open up a dojo? What next? Yoga for Christianity? Come to think of it, I am sure that is an option these days... Quote The best wisdom is always second hand...

In these days of "relativism and inclusiveness", maybe you could start with a bout of Kung Fu. Move on to a "yoga" session. Transfer then to an "out of the body experience" mat. Then have a quick shuffle across some burning coals. Followed by a quick lay down on a bed of nails. Which would then lead to the "sticking of pins in a wooly doll table". Before a quick prayer to the god of all faiths that requires no distinction. And a quick drum roll on the obligatory drum kit as you leave the SDA church? Mark... Didn't stand a chance when confronted by an impowered health messenger!! Were the Popeye family really avant garde SDA's? Food for thought. Or Jesuits. Quote
