Musicman1228 Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Woody, There are three groups of people that will gain eternal life: 1) The 144,000 who are the bondservants of Jesus Christ, and are identified as the fellow servants of the Faithful and Wise servant in Matt.24:45-51; they are also the groomsmen who give the cry at midnight in Matt:25; 2) then there are the saints, who are identified as the bridesmaids in Matt. 25:1-13. These people get the bride ready during the Great Tribulation. Both of these groups are granted eternal life within themselves, as members of the family of God. 3) Then there is the vast multitude that come out of the Great Tribulation; These are they that learn and accept the truth during the time of trouble. It is this group that will continually need to eat of the Tree of Life as their access to eternal life. This group will be joined by those that died before the Great Trib begins, and are those that did not have all of the truth but were sincere in believing in the truth they had. If you love the truth and will not let anything or anyone stand in your way of learning it then you will be a member of the 144,000. The reason that this group is so small is that they must identify the truth at a time when there are no prophetic signs and wonders occurring; they must learn the truth solely based on their knowledge of the words of Jesus Christ, as they are led to those words by the Holy Spirit. And this truth will not be what they originally learned as the truth. Quote

Musicman1228 Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Richard, they are not in the dark because they have Scripture; what they don't have is the 7 Trumpets going off one after the other, as do the people that will go through the Great Tribulation. All they have is what they can see and understand in Scripture about the time in which they live. It's really not a big deal. And quit making these discussions personal. Every time I say something you disagree with you make that disagreement personal. I am merely relating to you and others my understanding. Please address that and try not to make this an issue of personal disagreement. Thanks. Quote

He actually was going to write a book and all about this, but unfortunately he died about 10 years ago in a snowmobile accident. Whereas my wife, his sister, like you said she'd be very happy to just be among the great multitude.
