So from that statement from EGW it seems that this duel was over back in the wilderness after Jesus was Baptized. So if we take the Biblical view, than dueling is no longer necessary.

Yes pk ... that would be one way to look at it. But then we continue to see a battle each and every day between Christ and Satan ... good and evil. And I think Washington DC has it's share of duels in this regard. Unfortunately Satan seems to be winning more than losing. :)

Yes and if EGW is correct we will be reaching over someday to Rome. Which I guess really has already happened if you consider that we sent an ambassador to the Vatican, which in itself is not a bad thing.

This is a beautiful statement. When we see how things are playing out in front of our eyes we should well remember this quote from EGW. It rings truer each and every day that I've been alive.
