Administrators Gail Posted February 22, 2010 Administrators Posted February 22, 2010 What do you do if your pen still has ink in it and it won't write? I suck on the end (ballpoint end) and if it still won't write, I chuck it. Has anyone else got any trick to get a pen going? Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Liz Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 I look at it real hard, then bang the writing end on the table a couple of times, then try and scribble on the paper really hard, then say "well..uhh", then toss it. Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted February 23, 2010 Members Posted February 23, 2010 sometimes if you add water to the pen it will work...a small syringe works great. But don't add too much or you'll have a mess. Then scribble a bit with it. If the water doesn't work, I throw it out. or you could sharpen the quill... Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
GreatLakesGramma Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 I don't have that much patience with pens that won't write. But I actually don't use disposable pens much at all. The pens I use most of the time, at my desk, are old favorites I've had for more than 30 years. If they quite writing, I put in a refill. It works every time that I've tried it, but usually I just throw them out because I don't have a match handy. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Woody Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Gail. I hate throwing away ANYthing. If the pen doesn't work ... I stick it back in the pen holder. The only trouble with that is that Blanche comes by and tries to find a pen that works and gets upset with me for being a pack rat. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Guest Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Yes a flame to the tip of a pen works everytime. Even if there is only enough ink left to sign your name one last time. Quote

Well, if they were conservative pens, they wouldn't have splattered all that red ink all over the place like "dem pens!" They might even have some ink left. Very punny pickup, Liz. You must be a closet Jesuit pen-pal. Quote
karl Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 What!!?? Liz is a Jesuit?! REALLY???? Only part-time - when she's not trying to minister to the dregs of society in "dem pens."
