LifeHiscost Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 ___my belief that a person disconnected from the Holy Spirit will often say things not necessarily in line with Truth as it is found in Jesus. Therefor, since I'm of the opinion this statement was not couched in an angel visit, it only is an opinion by a non-Adventist who has a lesser than gratuitous opinion of the post to which it refers. "To: i find it very interesting to observe how people can twist things in their own mind so that they won't have to go through something potentially painful. When it comes to someone telling me my wife is ugly or stupid, I would first want to know why they were telling me that. What is their motivation? I wouldn't repeat it simply because it's just that persons opinion. When it comes to things in the past, I would bet that the motivation for not telling is selfish. You simply don't want to face the possible consequences. From my point of view, the deciding factor of whether or not to tell would be whether what happened in the past affects or is affecting my spouse now. I also find it odd, that nowhere in this posting, are the words 'truth', 'trust', or 'honesty'. But hey, you don't need any of those things to have a successful relationship anyway....right???" This gives some indication of how what we say on this forum affects those outside the faith. Regards! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
