For a purpose....

I would have preferred it also add:

whether for a business meeting, a school day, or for going to the gym, etc.

Comfort, mostly, but if I'm teaching or have an important meeting I make a bit more of an effort. Mind you, that's going with a collared shirt rather than a t-shirt with my jeans. I love my job, and specifically avoided suit-wearing jobs.

I have only a few things to wear during the week. There are shirts that always go with the same pair of slacks, and I alternate the outfits. If I stay home, and don't have to meet the bus, I wear older clothing, but still try to match. I don't try to look absolutely terrible for my hubby. And I wear my clothes until they are no longer wearable, for years most of the time.

I usually make my clothing choices by the following criteria:

1. Clean

2. Whether or not I will be in public (because I try to keep my nicest clothes clean for when I go out in public)

I don't have a whole lot of clothing because I'm not obsessed enough with fashion to blow my parents' clothing budget (I know, I'm a failure as a teenager), so it usually doesn't take long to make my selection.

I'm in the same boat as dgrimm. Since being unemployed I wear whatever. But that would be at home, working on the house and doing stuff outside, but than when I have to take my daughter or do some errands I change to some clean close, unless I don't have to get out of the car than I might just stay in the same clothes.

Mon-Fri it's the company logo shirt(in various colors)and jeans. Weekends, if I'm going out, like to church or my folks, I dress accordingly. If staying home, yoga pants and a tee.

And I suppose that means between launderings and you have something other to wear during the absence of the first outfit. bwinkhappysabbath
