This is exiting but if congressmen get called [theN-word] over health care what will happen over immigration reform, lynchings? I am big time for immigration reform, as opposed to the immigration DEFORM that the libs want. Build the fence. Blow up the tunnels. Deport all foreign nationals living here illegally - they cannot assimilate unless they are legal. They must go back to their country and apply for legal immigration. It is a process that cannot be circumvented without serious consequences to this country. Let's see if we can become a country of genuine, law-abiding citizens again. Quote

Hundreds (thousands?) of illegals have given birth to children in the U.S. who thus automatically became U.S. citizens. To deport the parents while retaining their minor children would break up families and cause immeasurable harm to those kids who would no longer have parents to raise them. That is NOT the issue, Tom. Nobody is saying they are incapable of doing something positive any more than you are incapable of doing something positive. The issue is that they are breaking the law by being here illegally. We have a legal immigration process they are unwilling to go through, so they bypass it. This disdain for our law leads to disdain for other laws and illegal aliens commit a disproportionate percentage of crimes in this country. Were you thinking this is a good thing? Quote

Glad I read back through. You can't be serious about anybody attempting this. The kids go with their parents, Jeannie. Just because they are anchor babies does not mean they can't leave the country. And just because they are citizens does not mean they have the right to have a foreign national caring for them. The same logic would allow you to have an illegal alien as a servant. Quote

What is your point, Laz? The fact that this is a MASSIVE problem makes it worse, not better. However, to answer your unspoken question, the first step is to seal the border. Otherwise you're trying to empty the pool by dumping the water back in the other end. Second step is you start with the first illegal you come to and you keep deporting until you're done. You'll miss some. But you'll get some. And in the process you'll be returning your country to a country of law-abiding citizens. If all of the kids in an auditorium are talking at once and you can only shut up one at a time, you just start with the first one and keep going until you're done. Quote

What this country is doing is unsustainable on all counts. What is it about the word bankrupt people can't get? We spend anywhere from 10-22 billion dollars per state per year in welfare to legal immigrants. The cost of illegal immigration is just as depressing if not more so.
