Why not do this to the soldiers who kill people because they hate them? That sounds more like murder to me than a "mercy killing" does. I remember back in January of '66 a friend of mine was drafted, for some reason that year the Marines needed a few good men and he was picked. So he was sent to Paris Island for his basic training. He told me that they had a prison there for marines that could no longer be let out into society, because they had killed so many people that that is all they knew. Pretty sad I remember thinking at that time. I can't find any mention of it anywhere. Parris Island used to be a naval prison, but they closed that when they opened it as a boot camp. Quote
