I suspect that once he became a "Holy Father" he stopped sinning. You can't have a sinning Pope.

Of course, the SDA church has NO child molesting pastors or other personnel, and once they are discovered the matter is NEVER covered up and they are ALWAYS brought to justice in the appropriate way.

The difference is that the claims of the Catholic Church and it's leader ... are different from the claims of our church and it's leader. Our leader is not God. He does fail.

In 1901 the Lord came close to being the leader of the Adventist church. At the General Conference, the position of one man as the leader of our church was finally done away with but in a matter of months a man usurped the position and was finally elected as the leader of our church two years later.

So this a testimony that Christ is not the head of the adventist church. In 1909, Mrs. White wrote:

"God declares, 'I will be glorify in My people;' but the self-confident management of men has resulted in putting God aside, and accepting the devisings of men. If you allow this to continue, your faith will soon become extinct." T.M.481.

We are repeating the follies of Israel who wanted a man-king like the other nations.

If you do, you can bet that absolution is fast and sure.

I have first hand knowledge (when I was a detective in a PD) that our own GC did and does the same thing with our teachers and pastors that have this problem. They simply send them to another place and try to keep things hush hush. But then you have the reversal too (David Dennis) who was totally innocent but because he knew too much about the GC, they set him up for a fall. I think he has a book out on this right now and it is really good.

Hmmm -- "concern for lives ruined or concern for RCC marketing... which one to pick".

I guess that was a harder choice for this pope than many had imagined.
