SivartM Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Ew. That's disgusting. Actually, it should be more disgusting than it is. Members phkrause Posted April 11, 2010 Members Posted April 11, 2010 Happy Meal?? This should make one think twice before ordering.... Happy Meals? Well that was an interesting link liz. It is also interesting that this food still looks like it did 1 year ago. You have to wonder what's in it? I wonder if they perfected what the ancient Egyptians tried to do with the Pharaohs! pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Administrators Gail Posted April 11, 2010 Administrators Posted April 11, 2010 Liz, honestly I don't know where you come up with this stuff! This is priceless! I intend to pass this around! Thanks for sharing this! Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Administrators Gail Posted April 11, 2010 Administrators Posted April 11, 2010 We found another one on You tube that shows french fries that are 4 years old. You guessed it! They still look like new! I was thinking of the Egyptian pharaohs when I saw them, as pk suggested. Dr. Shane Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 I have a hard time getting my kids to eat anything good. I have gotten them to eat oatmeal, shredded wheat and whole grain pancakes. So I got breakfast covered. I guess the peanut butter sandwiches on whole grain bread is kind of healthy and they do eat that. I wish they would eat rice and beans. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Dr. Shane Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 We don't eat much margarine. The only tomato sauce they eat is what is on pizza. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Neil D Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Shane, Have you tried to use foods they like with foods that you want them to eat? IE, Big Franks with rice? Or stir fry with Big Franks in it over rice...Do they like haystacks? IOWs find out what they like, and use that to increase thier variety of other foods....It takes a while but it does work...And don't worry about your composting, you will feed it from time to time...hopefully less so once the kids find out they like stuff... Dr. Shane Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 When we have haystacks at church - which is pretty often - they only eat the chips. I was finally able to convince them to eat tofu-pups a couple of months ago. I don't want to force them to eat food because my mother did that and she was so abusive. I do not, however, just let them eat everything they want. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Moderators Nan Posted April 15, 2010 Moderators Posted April 15, 2010 My mother used to put pearl barley into her vegetable soup....admittedly it was flavoured with Marmite which is a whole new topic teehe but it was the best soup. Quote
Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted April 18, 2010 Moderators Posted April 18, 2010 I love pearl barley in soups... sometimes just barley and onions and bouillon. Nice and chewey and crunchy. Quote Jeannie

...Change is inevitable; growth is optional....
