We would hate to see that anything in the payback department get neglected, since prophetic writings are such that they somehow are connected to the ecomonic woes we are currently experiencing...according to some SDAs here... We should be very happy that they are in the Adventist church! You guys sound about the same as those in Israel when they refused to allow their 'religion' to be tested with the world. So, what is the problem? Do you intend to build a little fence around your religion and put a bushel over it so no one can see the light (truth)? Quote

Usually the Jesuit hunter reminds the listener that the Jesuits are slick and sharp and can easily get into any organization. At the same time they are smart enough to move up the ranks without anyone noticing. But then many times the Jesuit hunter starts naming names. They must not be that slick if you can figure out who they are. and the really big question I have is how can you tell the difference between someone who you think is wrong theologically and a Jesuit infiltrator? When I did my Fellowship with them at Fordham University, this is what I experienced working with them. 1) the fact that I mentioned I was an Adventist in my abstract proposal was a primary reason for my acceptance 2) they subscribe to most of our academic periodicals in their living facilities at Loyola-Faber Hall (the largest residential facility in this part of the US) 3) when I mentioned that my seminar paper was about EGW and her book Early Writings, there was a moment of shattering silence at our dining table and the Abbot responded "Ellen GOULD White!, Please make sure you leave a copy of your paper on my desk" 4)they acknowledge that Saturday is the Sabbath but Sunday is the Lord's Day 5) they are very friendly, brilliant and seek to learn as much about us they can. Reading between the lines, I felt they had a respectful admiration for the SOP 6) in response to a discussion re: end-time events (my Professor was Advisor to both the United Nations on issues related to Global Spirituality and also the Vatican Interreligious Dialogue Council for more than 40 years)when I spoke of my concerns for Sabbath keepers like us and Jews was "That's not a concern. We will work something out." All in all, these are fine people who have nothing to fear about us to necessitate a need for infiltration. I could see that he was wondering if his Pastor was a Jesuit, had been influenced by a Jesuit, or about to become a Jesuit. He came to the next board with an armful of out of context EGW quotes and tried to voice his outrage. I met with him afterward but to no avail. Near the end of our conversation I happened to mention that he worked at a Catholic hospital but that was lost in his fixated anti-Jesuit frenzy. I've nearly completed my first semester and not feeling "Jesuity" yet but perhaps the most effective Jesuits don't even know they are Jesuits. Most of them had problems...something about a lack of humor as I recall. That said, your style of writing and what you have said, may be a code for being a jesuit. The Sci-Fi channel promotes evolution which is of scholastic catholic tradition. If it holds true that you are a secreted jesuit, please be assured that you can openly claim to be jesuit, because, as you know, we are already so powerful within this BBS that no one can shake us out. If someone hasn't been called a Jesuit, they should be at the top of your suspect list. I've never been called a Jesuit... but then, I haven't finished Jesuit school yet.
