This is quite significant since it is a tough course to run with hills at 20 miles and it's hard to establish a rhythm with its terrain. Americans did well though placing 4th and 5th. Ethiopians had a great day winning both men's and women's divisions. I can't foresee an American ever wining Boston again with the dominance that the Africans are exerting in marathoning.
