Woody Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 The National Basketball League 'NBA Cares' organization just showed an ad demonstrating how much NBA players care. During the Orlando playoff game tonight they played a clip of the Orlando center (Adonal Foyle) going to Orlando Junior Academy ... A Seventh day Adventist school ... to teach about the dangers of smoking to the students there. I thought it was interesting that it used to be SDAs who were sharing with others about the dangers of smoking. Now the world is coming to US !!! Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Yes pretty interesting, and not only that, but going to an SDA school at that, I think that is the most interesting thing. Not that SDAs don't smoke, because there are many. And yes Woody why are we not doing this more? pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Moderators Gerr Posted April 24, 2010 Moderators Posted April 24, 2010 Forgive me if my memory is faulty, but didn't you recommend that smokers be baptized in another thread anyway? So there might be baptized smokers there? Quote

Maybe the school thought it would be great to have a NBA player come and speak. There's nothing wrong with a little celebrity endorsement. Anti-smoking existed long before SDAs started speaking on it anyway. Quote Rich http://tiny.cc/CM2j8
