3ABN is gone

I was told I had till May to change the position of my satellite. But the satellite is GONE. No 3ABN and no Hope Channel on the satellite. I now have to resort to a back up. I have to watch Hope on Direct TV. But on Direct there is no 3ABN. So, 3ABN is gone till I can affort to pay a technician to come out and re-direct the satellite. I am not a happy camper. :(

I watch hopetv on directv. I need to get that fta satellite setup so that I can watch both 3abn and hopetv. I sometimes watch 3abn on the internet, but it is not as convenient as recing able to record with a dvr.

A friend of ours from church came & changed our AdventSat dish, and we are getting all the channels. Which is especially nice since we lost all the signals some time ago, due to a shift in position of the dish. I hope it stays put this time.

Yes, that was the report that I read. But that report also indicated it could happen at ANY time between then and now.

We have Glorystar with a Fortec Mercury II receiver, went to www.LLBN.tv and they had all the necessary instruction for making the necessary change. We had the newer updated twin or double LBN Geostat90 satellite dish so needed no adjustment of the dish and was able to follow the instruction given for setting the inside receiver with the remote control.

What were you receiving 3ABN on, Woody? If you don't have a GloryStar you can get one for a one-time payment, no monthly dues.

If you have a GeosatPro90 dish, I'm almost positive that's the name, it can be the twin or single LBN. The name Geosat90 will be easy to spot on the back of the dish. You'll need to see the front of the dish to spot the twin LBNs. On the west coast of Northern California there is no need to adjust the outside dish with the twin LBN, only inside remote setup.

3ABN, 3ABN Latino, LLBN, Hope Channel, Esperanza TV, Radio 74 and LifeTalk Radio networks are moving to a new satellite. New Adventist channels Channels Amazing Facts, 3ABN Proclaim, LLBN Arabic and LLBN Chinese have already begun broadcasting! Additional Adventist channels Amazing Discoveries and others will be available soon.

The AMC4 satellite is due to be replaced on or about May 1st and the new satellite will continue to provide TV and Radio services to the USA, Canada, Northern Mexico and the Northern Caribbean. New Glorystar channels will be soon be launched on this replacement satellite.

If you have a Glorystar satellite dish with two LNBFs installed, no dish move or re-aiming is needed. GEOSATpro DVR1100c, DSR100c and DSR200c receivers will automatically add these new channels when installed on a Glorystar two LNBF sysyem. Fortec Star Mercury II and GEOSATpro DVR1000ci receivers need to be manually updated using the instructions below.

If your dish only has one LNBF, a Glorystar two LNBF upgrade is required to continue to receive all current and add new Glorystar channels as they become available. If a single LNBF satellite dish is re-aimed for Galaxy19, you will lose several Glorystar channels that you may currently enjoy! Your current dish may be compatible for adding the Glorystar two LNBF upgrade kit. If the dish has a logo stamping in the metal bracket on the back of the dish AZURE SHINE, then the dish can be upgraded to the Glorystar two LNBF kit.

Note: Failure to have Signal Quality of at least 50% on Cornerstone (channel 113) will prevent the receiver from automatically updating and adding new channels.

Please Note: If your satellite system only has one LNBF on the arm in front of the dish, you must upgrade your system to a two LNBF system to receive all Glorystar channels. If you do not upgrade to a two LNBF dish and the single LNBF dish is moved away from the current satellite, you will lose several of the Glorystar channels.

Fortec Star Mercury II - Glorystar Two LNBF sytem.

# 1. Tune your Fortec Star Mercury II receiver on TBN (Channel 2) and verify that programming is showing.

If programming is not showing on TBN (Channel 2) troubleshooting will be necessary before continuing this process.

# 2. Using your Fortec Star Mercury II remote control press “Menu” button to go to "Installation" screen and “ANTENNA SETUP” highlighted yellow.

# 3. Press the Channel down button twice to highlight “TP SCAN”

# 4. Press OK button to go to “TP SCAN” screen

# 5. Press the Channel down button to highlight “FREQUENCY”

# 6. Using the number buttons on the remote control enter 11842

# 7. Press Channel down button to highlight “POLARITY” and push the Volume up button (the button that points to the right) it should display “Horizontal”

# 8. Press Channel down to “SYMBOLRATE”

# 9. Using the number buttons on the remote control enter the numbers 22000

# 10. On the bottom of the screen you will see two bars, one says “SIGNAL LEVEL” and the other “SIGNAL QUALITY”. If the dish has been properly installed the Signal Quality reading will be at least 50%. If not, troubleshooting will be necessary before continuing this process. If you or an installer need the exact aiming coordinates for the satellite, please visit website http://www.GeoSatFinder.com.

# 11. Once you have the “Signal Quality” bar with the highest strength (at least 50%), press Yellow button to begin scan.

# 12. When Channel Scan is completed, pop up window displaying "Do you want to save?" with "Yes" highlighted Yellow.

# 13. Press OK button to save. Programming will automatically be displayed.

# 14. Please, note that the new channels will be on higher channel numbers.
