Anyone read the "Blue Book" (The Urantia Book) ?

In light of all the dialogue that is tangential to religion as mythology and questions dealing with agnosticism, deism and the Bible as meta-narrative, I took out my copy of the Urantia Book (also called the Blue Book) to get a different look at cosmological origins, Creation, God and Jesus Christ.

I'm curious if there is anyone else who has read this book (an immense tome of about 2100 pages) that reads like an updated version of the Bible, filling in many of the blank spots and clearing up some inscrutable issues like the Resurrection, for instance? I'm looking for opinions, comments and criticism.

Please avoid responding to internet reviews and criticism. I'm interested in hearing from those who have actually read the book. It's too easy to create second hand opinions rather than coming to a text with an open mind and thinking for oneself.

Just asked Stan to move this thread into Town Hall. It is presently misplaced.
