Administrators Gail Posted May 6, 2010 Administrators Posted May 6, 2010 Today I had to use the horn in my car and discovered that it is really wimpy. There are some times when I wish I had a BIG sound- like a fog horn for ships! What else works? Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Moderators Bravus Posted May 6, 2010 Moderators Posted May 6, 2010 I know there are replacement horns for motorbikes, for the same reason, that are really loud. I haven't bothered but my friend Gromit got one for his and was very happy with it. I think they're about 60 bucks, and you need someone with some electrical know-how to install them, but it might be worth it. Quote Truth is important
Administrators Gail Posted May 6, 2010 Author Administrators Posted May 6, 2010 I don't think anything is wrong with it. It just isn't very loud. It's a lady-like horn. Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Dottie Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 J. C. Whitney used to sell horns of all volumes and sound ranges. My husband used to get parts from them that weren't readily available anywhere else. www.JCWhitney.com Good hunting!! Quote
