Seems like modern humans were interbreeding with Neandertals:

1) If we believe in micro-evolution but not macro-evolution, how do we explain all the myriad variants in certain insect species if the Earth is only 6000 years old?

2) Do we even believe Neandertals existed?

3) Is the ATS (Adventist Theological Society) really an organization of Church apologists? (Adventist Apologist Society)

4) Is our stand on a literal 6 day creation supported by science?

I have just read a similar article in our local daily paper and apparently

most (at least 90%) of the DNA analysed from the Neanderthal skeletons came from postmortem bacterial contamination. The investigators had developed techniques to separate or differentiate the bacterial DNA from the Neanderthal DNA. Working out how that is done is way beyond me....it will be interesting to see if their work is accepted by their peers.
