I go by Ozark Woman and live in Nixa, MO. I just started, about a month ago, attending the Nixa SDA church. It is a small church and I do like that. I absolutely adore their pastor. We, my husband and I, found the church by attending a series the pastor is doing about the Book of Revelation. We were both surprised that he was stating the views that we had and has continued to do so. We then started attending on Sabbath and have enjoyed ourselves immensly. Neither one of us make hasty decisions, especially when it comes to becoming a member of a church, believing that it entails much prayer and learning before doing so, and then doing so with an open heart ready to receive. I am reading the book that the pastor gave me about the 298 beliefs. So far, I am on number 6. I hope that it is ok that I became a member here even though I am not a true SDA member yet, as I wish to learn as much as possible about your church.

TY for the welcome. I have to say that I have always known about the SDAs but was always afraid to check them out because I thought that they were too fundamental for me. Of course, now that I am older I like them being more fundamental than many churches. I also love the fact that their sabbath is Saturday, which is the tue one and not Sunday, which was brought to us by the Catholic religion long ago.

Welcome, OW

I live in Ola, Arkansas. My wife and daughter and I will be at SDC in Branson next weekend for the Bluegrass festival. That's pretty close to Nixa, isn't it?

Branson is about 45 minutes away, not far at all really. You will enjoy the concert I am sure.

BTW, how do I get the time to be my time please? I am in Central Daylight Time area.

I's like the answer to that question myself. According to CA it is 3 pm when it is actually 10 am.

Hi and Welcome, Ozark Woman. I am glad you found us here. Could you give me the name of the book you are reading?

For what will a man be profited, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul? Mat. 16:26
