Amnesty for Aunt Zeituni: She's Allowed to Stay in USA

RUSH: Okay. We finally have a resolution of the deportation case of Obama's Aunt Zeituni. "A U.S. immigration court has granted asylum to President Barack Obama’s African aunt, allowing her to stay in the country, her attorneys announced Monday." Her attorney, by the way, is Margaret Wong of Cleveland. "The decision was mailed Friday and comes three months after Kenya native Zeituni Onyango, the half-sister of Obama’s late father, testified at a closed hearing in Boston, where she arrived in a wheelchair and two doctors testified in support of her case."

Now, while she was here awaiting all this, she had a hip replacement and a number of other medical procedures and we're told that illegals put pressures on emergency rooms. Don't think Aunt Zeituni got hip replacement at... (interruption) What, Snerdley? No, no, no! Obama didn't pay for it! Are you kidding? You lost your mind in there? We paid for it. Obama paid for it? Obama's brother is still living in a hut in Kenya!

Here's more of the the AP report: "The basis for her asylum request was never made public. People who seek asylum must show that they face persecution in their homeland on the basis of religion, race, nationality, political opinion or membership in a social group." Now, one of her family members is in charge over there, at least in the village. One of Obama's aunts or cousins have the only electricity and running water there where his half-brother lives in a hut with no water or electricity. Aunt Zeituni "Onyango moved to the United States in 2000. Her first asylum request was rejected, and she was ordered deported in 2004. But she didn’t leave the country and continued to live in public housing in Boston.

"Onyango's status as an illegal immigrant was revealed just days before Obama was elected in November 2008. Obama said he did not know his aunt was living here illegally and believes laws covering the situation should be followed. A judge later agreed to suspend her deportation order and reopen her asylum case," after Obama's immaculation." But Obama -- who knows how to reform the health care system, who knows how to run car companies, who has the answer to everything -- did not know his Aunt Zeituni was living here illegally. "In his memoir, 'Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance,' Obama affectionately referred to Onyango as 'Auntie Zeituni' and described meeting her during his 1988 trip to Kenya. Onyango helped care for the president's half brothers and sister while living with Barack Obama Sr. in Kenya."

So he meets her in Kenya 1988 and somehow she ends ups here in 2000. This is like Paul Kanjorski saying Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are "too complicated" to figure out. Congress created them! Health care bill is too complicated to figure out, too. Congress created it.
