Obama's church-state partnership

Obama wants to "partner" with your church to further the agenda of his administration. Coming from a "constitutional lawyer" this is especially duplicitous. Can anyone say "separation of church and state?

The gospel of climate change will be coming to a pulpit near you, if the President’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships — a 25-member group of leaders from across the religious spectrum that is part of the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships - gets its way.

Apparently, the president’s council envisions the “partnership” between government and religious institutions as a means of spreading the administration’s environmental warnings, rather than just a way to help churches feed the hungry and clothe the poor. Faith-based organizations, the report notes, can take “a prominent leadership role in influencing policy, education, and action in those areas.”

Widely reviled by the left, George Bush’s faith-based initiatives were claimed to be evidence that Bush was a “religious zealot” trying to destroy America with evil Christianity. But there was no ideology in Bush's approach.

There is ideology by the shovelful in Obama's approach. I wonder if the media will notice?

I doubt they will notice. They support anything Obama does and says. But this is indeed alarming for Seventh day Adventists.

Pelosi has already been proclaiming what America's pastors should be preaching. And it is usually stuff like 'immigration' and 'global warming'. These two issues will bring on the Sunday Laws.

They certainly seem to have a strong potential to increase government control over multiple aspects of our lives.

I ususally post stuff I haven't read. It's tough, you know, to know what to select without reading it.
