Advertising campaign idea

So, I just read another article about how almost all of the foods that are advertised are unhealthy. And the somewhat healthy ones are usually just promoting some brand. So I had an idea...

What if an independent group started an advertising campaign? It would be a simple image with a white background and black text saying something like, "Have some REAL food." with fruits and vegetables around it. Or something like that. No corporate logo, no commercial website (although the group could make a website that had healthful living information). There could be similar ads that promoted water, exercise, rest, and other healthy things. It could advertise online first, and maybe even branch out to TV, newspapers, billboards, magazines, etc.

Does anyone know how maybe I could start something like this?

SirvatM,

I certainly think it's pretty good idea. My advice would be to register for non-profit status, build a site and ask for donations.

The ads are relatively expensive to run as a national campaign, but with enough people on-board you can start on local cable, where you can buy a 10 second ad placement for $15-$20/run , and you can expand from there.

My favorite ads are those that present themselves as "healthy alternative"... by adding more fiber to the otherwise sugar-loaded products.

You can go on many tangents with that idea.

I don't know how to form a non-profit organization (or any organization for that matter)... and from my research it sounds really complicated. Does anyone else have more experience? I'd be better at the writing and web presence parts. But if a more experienced adult/s could help...

Of course, you're probably all pretty busy. But I'm about to kick myself for not thinking of this before campmeeting (which would, of course, have hundreds of happy health-reforming entrepreneurs).
