LifeHiscost Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 HEY ALL JUST wanted to wish every one here a Happy and Blessed SABBATH DAY Today, Sabbath, we, my wife and I, as a result of health issues, are spending time at home with each other and, most importantly, with Jesus, instead of with the body of believers in our respective home church. Checking the net for other influences that recognize the Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath, I happened to run into your kind comment, dgrimm60, and we would like to wish you and others on the forums the same kind wish. If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath, so that the law of Moses should not be broken, are you angry with Me because I made a man completely well on the Sabbath?John 7:22 NKJV "Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days."Matthew 12:12 KJV I understand the words "rationalize" and "compromise" are dirty words in the minds of some and they help us to identify the guilty culprits. Isn't it wonderful to be able to "rationalize" and "compromise" our way into the kingdom of heaven with the words and promises of Jesus, Who is "the Way, the Truth, and the Life"? I hope that on this Sabbath, mercy will be extended to all who rely on the righteousness of Jesus, to meet all the conditions necessary for their confidence in the only Savior fully capable of meeting those conditions, and especially for those willing to accept Him and His righteousness alone instead of their own. "that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith"Phil 3:6,9 NKJV "For to him who has shown no mercy the judgment [will be] merciless, but mercy [full of glad confidence] exults victoriously over judgment. " James 2:13 AMP brackets theirs LHC "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." Ephesians 2:8,9 NKJV Blessings to all, on this blessed Sabbath that Jesus is revealed to be Lord. And He said to them, “The Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.” Luke 6:5 NKJV "“Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you. " Exodus 31:13 NKJV "And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you."Galatians 3:29 NLT Quote Lift Jesus up!!
