Didn't get to church today? Or the sermon you heard was weak, uninspiring, and had no meat in it? Then grab your Bible and listen to J.R. Hoffman preach:

You are quite welcome pk, I'm glad you liked it. J.R. Hoffman is a bottom line Seventh Day Adventist, and a powerful speaker. I don't even know if he is still alive or not. I wonder how I could find out?

J.R. Hoffman? He was old when I was young!!Good on some things. Wacky on others (he got into the commanding demons "ministry"). Powerful speaker. I heard him once respond to a Christian who remarked that he rested everyday and didn't need the Sabbath: "You need to get a job!")

Yes I remember when he got a little too far out there on the demon thing. I think the bretheren rebuked him and he quit doing it.

Pastor J. Reynolds Hoffman Age 91, of Roseburg, Oregon, passed away on June 29, 2007.

Wonderful preacher.

Reynolds and his wife Lois were good friends of mine. He and I had an opportunity to sit down together and discuss endtime events, it was an interesting discussion. His wife helped coordinate a couple of prophecy seminars I conducted.

Thanks karl, now I know. I fully expect to meet him in heaven. You too by the way.

Or maybe before heaven. I'll be going to NC one of these days. Which part of the state are you in?

Clemmons, right outside of Winston-Salem. The church I go to is in Winston-Salem.

Got a kid who lives in Charlotte. Looks like that's about 90 miles away.

He was laid to his rest in 2007 according to American Christian Ministries.org. One of my favorite places to buy stuff to listen to in the car. (It's a 40 minute drive anywhere I go!) Thanks for sharing.

Thank you mrsducky. Nowadays I just go to several sermon websites I know about and burn them to CD myself. And listen to them in the car.

Here are a couple of good sites for sermons. One of then is where I got the J.R Hoffman sermon.

Richard if you go to the link I posted you'll find quite a number of sermons from Hoffman.

This is a great sermon by him... what is so amazing about it is that it sounds like it is VERY old (he speaks about the prices in 1973) and yet it sounds exactly like what is going on RIGHT NOW in the world. He even mentions a "revolution" which is what is sprouting up all over the world.

He talks about global economic collapse and relates how that will happen just before Jesus comes, and how it will enable the powers that be to control our "ability to buy & sell".

Has anyone listened to J.R.Hoffmans sermon on the 7 trumpets?

Just wondering what people think about it.

Sunday, a child of the Papacy, has taken the place of God's holy Sabbath. As Nebuchadnezzar made a golden image, and set it up to be worshiped by all, so Sunday is placed before the people to be regarded as sacred. This day bears not a vestige of sanctity, yet it is held up to be honored by all. {RH, April 27, 1911 par. 6}
