Woody Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 How many of you are watching Fox News right now? Glenn Beck is talking aobut how GOD is the only answer to the mess we are in. He says that every time in history that something good has happened it was because people turned to God. He is trying to push that in the light of the Panthers mess ... it should not matter the color of your skin. All peoples should have the SAME and EQUAL rights. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Dr. Shane Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Beck is hooking up with David Barton and swollowing all of Barton's lies and distortions hook, line and sinker. Poor Glen. He is just flushing his credibility down the toilet. I think he needs to go back to comedy. He is really good at that. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... SivartM Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 It sounds nice, but by "turn to God" does he mean, "make everyone conform to (my version of) Christianity"? Guest Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 It sounds nice, but by "turn to God" does he mean, "make everyone conform to (my version of) Christianity"? Is that all you ever see is gray? Is there no black and white with you? No right or wrong? Your question leads me to believe that you think: No matter what someone's concept of God is, it's ok, as long as they believe it. No matter how far off the path of truth it may be. I guess your next question to me will be: Who's truth? Your truth? I think it gives credibility to the old cliche, "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything" Quote

Problem is like the GC says, after a while they wont be asking they will eventually force the issue on us. As a SDA I would love to see all come to a realization of God but it need's to be our choice not the law of the land. Woody Posted July 13, 2010 Author Posted July 13, 2010 Well ... all I know is that when we start protecting only people with a certain color of skin like the Obama Admin. is promoting ... then we have racism. And that is a sad day in America. And I think God is the ONLY answer. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Guest Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 I think you've got a little apple and orange thing going on there. I guess you're pretty content down here. What's the rush in going to heaven, right? I've still got money in the bank. Quote
SivartM Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Wait... we should promote the destruction of religious liberty? Maybe we should make a giant atomic bomb and blow the planet up. I don't listen to Glenn Beck every day but I have never heard him urge his religion on anyone. Have you? There are some here who seem to have distain for him.Not sure why. Richard is not suggesting christians promote the destruction of religious liberty, forcing our beliefs on anyone.Rather it will come and could come a whole lot sooner than some SDA's believe it will. I have not heard Glenn Beck even come close to trying to force his beliefs on anyone that I have heard.Have you heard that he has? Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. Dr. Shane Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 The problem with Glen Beck is that he is teaming up with David Barton. David Barton is now a professor at Glen's online university "Beck University". David Barton believes in union of church and state. He teaches that the US started out as a Christian nation. In his view, the only liberty the founders intended was liberty within Christian denominations. Very dangerous and factually incorrect teaching there. Beck is teaming up with a very bad guy and it is going to hurt Beck in the end. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Guest Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 You could be right about that Shane. I don't know anything about Barton. And even a busted clock is right twice a day. Quote
Woody Posted July 13, 2010 Author Posted July 13, 2010 Today Beck is preaching about salvation. Actually ... much of it was good. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
