Stan Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 An unidentified flying object, or UFO, forced an airport in a major Chinese city to shut down operations for an hour, various reports said. [img:right]http://www.vancouversun.com/news/3284114.bin According to state media outlet China Daily, the incident happened at Hangzhou's Xiaoshan Airport last Wednesday, when it appeared at about 8:30 p.m. The object did not show up on radar, the report said. The airport was closed from 8:45 p.m. to 9:41 p.m., and up to 18 flights and 2,000 passengers were affected, China Daily said. The report said this is the first time a Chinese airport has been shut down due to an UFO sighting. Officials say they remain unsure what the object was. An unknown source told China Daily the UFO may have been military-related. In shock and amazement they shutdown the airport while one was flying nearby. After all they do live on the "other side of the world" from us.
