Woody Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Yes. Praise God. This is good news. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Neil D Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 You guys are sick....Good news=the death of the human race...... Even for Christians, this is sick... Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw
Woody Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Quote: You guys are sick....Good news=the death of the human race...... Even for Christians, this is sick... Yes. It means for some of us ... that we are 'going home'. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Neil D Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Going home is good news....my understand is that when we go to heaven, we will be alive.....and enjoying the journey.... However, equating 'good news' with dying is not good news...Equating the death of the human race as good news is not good news...it is an expression of sickness in itself... Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw
Woody Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Yes, the world IS sick. That's why it needs to die. And when that happens ... the good news is that we will be with Jesus. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Neil D Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Granted, Jesus wants us with Him...He love relationships.... He came to give LIFE and to give it ABUNDANTLY....Why is the association of Jesus' coming with death relavant? Is Jesus' coming the begining of life or the retched threat of death? If all we can think about Jesus' coming is that people will die, then I submit that we are a very sick people.... However, if we are of Jesus, who gives life, and love and faith, who are we to do otherwise? Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw
Woody Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 As sad as it may seem. Sin DOES need to be taken care of once and for all. And when that happens ... the name of Jesus will be vindicated and we can all then REJOICE. Yes, it is certainly GOOD news. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Members phkrause Posted July 17, 2010 Members Posted July 17, 2010 "Something is going on that we do not understand." - John Emmert, NASA scientist on the latest collapse of the earth's upper atmosphere. Good news: We are all going to die. Earth's Atmosphere Collapse LOL, maybe they should read the Bible and than EGW! This is no mystery to me at all. The earth is slowing growing old, we are polluteing the atmosphere, etc. At some point in time things can't go on like this, it has to end. Than we have us people getting more and more wicked day after day. Of course there is something going on! SIN!!! Come sooner than latter Lord Jesus. :) Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
GreatLakesGramma Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Nonsense. The scientists did not say we are going to die. The Bible has told us how sinful life on this planet is going to end, and it didn't say anything about collapse of earth's entire atmosphere. Even if this event does signal a possibly fatal conclusion for the earth and the human race, Jesus will be here for us long before it reaches that point. Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26. "To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you." -- C. S. Lewis

Moderators Gerr Posted July 17, 2010 Moderators Posted July 17, 2010 Better news! Someone is coming to take us out before the complete collapse!!! Quote
teresaq Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 that would be nice! but we get to be here right through it all! we leave after all the earthquakes, tornados, and the lost have slain each other, however they do it. im thinking it will be with all the weapons at hand and not hand-to-hand combat. we are told we will have to have a faith that will endure all that. Quote facebook. /teresa.quintero.790
Woody Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Yes, but we DO want to see Jesus come. And in order to do that ... we must endure. So the signs of the times ... are GOOD news. For ... our Redemption draws neigh. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted July 17, 2010 Members Posted July 17, 2010 Wow, what a *downer* topic to read first thing in the morning... Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

SivartM Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 I don't suppose anyone noticed the part where the article said that this has happened before. Quote "Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much." - Oscar WildeDo to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets." - Jesus
GreatLakesGramma Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Of course, Sivart, but they also said it had never happened to such an extent, so suddenly, and that the contraction was much greater than they could account for under the conditions. That doesn't actually mean anything bad will come of it, but even if it were a dangerous sign, we know the earth isn't going to end that way. Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26. "To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you." -- C. S. Amelia Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 WOW, that article never mentioned this collapse having any effect on human life at all. TWNolan Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 personally.. i am thinking it is part of the "contractions" the Earth is going through. the Earth getting ready to have the "heavens open up like a scroll".... Quote there is no try
Woody Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 whatever it is ... we as Christians have NOTHING to fear from the end days of this earth. Our job is to REJOICE. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
LifeHiscost Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 You guys are sick....Good news=the death of the human race...... Even for Christians, this is sick... That could depend upon a person's confidence in what the Word says. " So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” “ O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”" 1 Corinthians 15:54-56 NKVB "And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” " John 11:26 NKJV "Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come."Isaiah 57:1 NLT Joy!!! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
LifeHiscost Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Lift up your head redemption draweth nigh Thanks for that song, Woody. It's been a long time since I had heard it. IT gives a lot of comfort to those who believe it and are longing for the day of God's judgment, when Christ's righteousness is accepted and totally encompasses those who look for His appearing. "Since all these things are thus in the process of being dissolved, what kind of person ought [each of] you to be [in the meanwhile] in consecrated and holy behavior and devout and godly qualities, While you wait and earnestly long for (expect and hasten) the coming of the day of God by reason of which the flaming heavens will be dissolved, and the [material] elements [of the universe] will flare and melt with fire? But we look for new heavens and a new earth according to His promise, in which righteousness (uprightness, freedom from sin, and right standing with God) is to abide" 2 Peter 3:11-13 AMP parenthesis brackets theirs LHC Joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
