Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted July 23, 2010 Members Posted July 23, 2010 This is good! Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
SivartM Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 That was so cool! :D Quote "Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much." - Oscar WildeDo to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets." - Jesus
karl Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Love it. They are obviously very talented classical musicians with funny bones intact. Ever hear PDQ Bach? Saw him live with the USC Chamber Orchestra. His entrance was sliding down a rope from the balcony, running up the aisle and jumping belly-first onto the stage wearing a tux with big tan work boots on his feet. Looked a little like Shamu. Went downhill from there. Quote

GreatLakesGramma Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 The electric guitar was mostly good. The percussion overwhelmed the guitar most of the time, and spoiled it. It would have been better if it were quieter. But I couldn't stand the discordant part at the end. I had to stop the video then. GreatLakesGramma Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 I couldn't listen to very much of the other two, especially the Korean one. To each his own. Members phkrause Posted July 24, 2010 Members Posted July 24, 2010 These guys must be to the violin as Victor Borge was to the piano. Question: Why don't musicians tune their instruments BEFORE they get on stage? I think its a habit? or maybe they want to make sure at the last moment before playing? Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
GreatLakesGramma Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 They do tune them before they go on. But the acoustics on stage may make them sound slightly different than they did backstage, so they have to check them again to make sure they're just right. Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26. "To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you." -- C. S. Guest Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Acoustics won't change the tuning. However, moving the instrument from one environment to another can. Changing temperature and humidity factors come into play. Even with electric guitars. My Gibsons are the most sensitive. Quote
