Stan Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I managed Adventist Book Centers for 20 years, and often sold and demoed great music from all venues, there are a number of outstanding, talented and gifted musicians that blessed so many. HOWEVER when I retired to my private quarters, I would so often reach for Sam Ocampo's music. What a blessing this was to me. His latest album, HOMECOMING, has far exceeded my expectations. Am thankful my friend Jamie Jorge had a part in this. This is one of the CD's that you go into your living room, turn off your phone, do not answer your door, adjust your Bose speakers, sit back, close your eyes and worship a Living God. As I said, this far exceeded any expectations I had. Well done my friend. http://samocampo.com/music.html Quote If you receive benefit to being here please help out with expenses. https://www.paypal.me/clubadventist Administrator of a few websites like https://adventistdating.com
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted July 23, 2010 Members Posted July 23, 2010 Very nice music. I've never heard of him before. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
Dr. Shane Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Is he related to Jose Ocampo? We must have six or eight of his CDs or tapes. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Dr. Shane Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Jose Ocampo is a Spanish singer. He was a famous secular artist that accepted the Adventist faith in the early '80s. As a secular artist he performed on Spanish television and with the top names in Spanish music (comparable to Alan Jackson or George Straight in Country music). He stopped performing secular music altogether and started recording Christian albums. He is very famous in Adventist, Spanish-speaking circles. He sings at a lot of camp meetings and evangelistic crusades and has been on Hope Channel's Spanish sister on various occasions. I believe he is in his early 60s now. The guy who created the Bose speakers quit Bose and started his own company. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.
