MariaS Posted September 24, 2010 Author Posted September 24, 2010 Although trust in a partner means different things to different people - dependability, loyalty, honesty, fidelity - its essence is emotional safety. While feelings of love or sexual excitement may wax and wane over time, ideally, trust is a constant. When you have trust, you have it all. - Caryl S. Members phkrause Posted September 25, 2010 Members Posted September 25, 2010 "IT IS FAR MORE IMPORTANT TO BE THE RIGHT KIND OF PERSON THAN IT IS TO MARRY THE RIGHT KIND OF PERSON". WHAT DO YOU THINK? I most definitely agree with you Maria. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
MariaS Posted September 25, 2010 Author Posted September 25, 2010 Thanks PK, I gave a friend of mine a book to read on family and relationship in title "Courship after marriage - Romance will last a life time". After being married for 10 years, she is having some chalenges in her marriage and both of them are working on it now. Happy to see the husband wraping his arm around her shoulder during church and the kids are siting quietly while the sermon was in progress. God bless her family Quote The rules of life - Love and serve God - Remember choices, not circumstances, determine the flavor of our lives - Live each day so that you'll never be afraid of tomorrow nor ashamed of yesterday
MariaS Posted January 19, 2011 Author Posted January 19, 2011 Man begins by loving love and ends by loving a woman. Woman begins by loving a man and ends by loving love =Remy de Gourmont = Anyone know that differences? Moderators Bravus Posted January 19, 2011 Moderators Posted January 19, 2011 I tend to think any generalisations about men and women are unhelpful, in general. My wife and I are kind of 'flipped' - she has lots of stereotypical masculine characteristics and I have lots of feminine ones. And we're still crazy about one another after 23 years. I think the 'courtship after marriage' thing makes a lot of sense - continuing to have fun, be affectionate (both physically with hugs and holding hands, and in words), be kind and courteous and have fun with one another is crucial. Quote Truth is important
MariaS Posted January 19, 2011 Author Posted January 19, 2011 wow Bravus, I like what you said about you and your wife are still crazy about each other. That is fantastic, yea I could not agree less with you.
