She DOES know I'm a Republican. And when she comes here, she will be a Republican. We don't talk about politics much, but I have told her a few things, and she has taken them to heart.

But then things are getting so bad here, that I may end up going over there. In which case I would no longer be a Republican.

That's right. Also on tip #:

1. Avoid using sarcasm - I did not use any sarcasm. I was straight forward and to the point.

2. Do not use terms of endearment to address those you are disagreeing with. (I.e. dear, honey, love, son, etc.) - I did not call him dear, honey, love, son, or any of those things.

3. Do not use provocative words like “stupid,” “liar,” “phony,” “pathetic,” “hypocrite,” etc.- I did not call him: stupid, liar, phony, pathetic, hypocrite, or any of those things.

Numbers 4 & 5 don't apply

6. Proof-read your posts - I did that twice.

7. Ask yourself if you would say the same thing in person at a church potluck. - If I ever see him at a potluck, I will remind him of what a bonehead he was on this day.

8. Avoid addressing a person by their name when disagreeing with them. - I did not call him by his name.

9. Avoid using the pronouns “you” or “your” when disagreeing with someone. - I did not use the words you, or your. But simply: "bonehead".

I have to agree. Bonehead was the only term used.
