Suzanne Sutton Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 TV Preacher Seeks $2 Million in Donations Benny Hinn has posted a plea for $2 million in donations on his website. He says he accumulated the deficit in the past few months because offerings at some international appearances did not cover expenses. Hinn's reputation as a "prosperity gospel" advocate has attracted millions of followers but also has drawn criticism from lawmakers and watchdog groups. --The Denver Post Suzanne Quote

Moderators John317 Posted July 30, 2010 Moderators Posted July 30, 2010 News accounts say Benny Hinn lives in Dana Point: Quote: Televangelist Benny Hinn, who resides behind gates in Dana Point and has a church and television studio in Aliso Viejo, and Without Walls International Church pastor Paula White of Florida have posted statements on their websites denying a report that they are romantically involved. "UPDATE: Hinn's new message to followers: I am not having an affair and send me $2 million." Source: http://blogs.ocweekly.com/navelgazing/breaking-news/benny-hinn-paula-white-affair/ Hinn once said: "Adam was a super being when God created him...he had dominion over the fowls of the air which means he used to fly...well of course how could you have dominion over the birds and not be able to do what they do. Adam flew into space, with one thought he would be on the moon." "Hope and security"....seems like the SDA church should be able to "exploit" this weakness in people to bring people into our church....and then give them good relationships to strengthen them within the church.... .....seems like a no brainer, dontcha think? Why aren't we doing that??? Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw
D. Allan Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 I too find Mr. Hinn to be rather supicious; but inspite of himself he has done some good for children. He has also brought people to Jesus. I'm not saying I agree with his theology. Au contraire I smell something fishy. Quote: Benny Hinn Ministries supports 60 Missions organization across the world and several Orphanages across the nations. Housing and feeding over 100,000 children a year and also supporting 45,000 children daily because of his donors, includinga Hospital and Emergency Care in Calcutta, India. 200,000 hospital patients are provided free medical care every year and much more. [12] [13] Benny Hinn Ministries donated $100,000 for Relief Supplies to Hurricane Katrina Victims in 2005, [14] and $250,000 to Tsunami Relief Effort in 2007. Why aren't we doing that??? We can and do, but the big difference is that we can use only the truth, whereas many of those other people and groups use lies and half-truths. Unfortunately, lies are often more popular because they tell people what they want to hear. Truth more often calls for people to sacrifice and to change things they don't want to change. It reminds me of what the Spirit of prophecy says about the war in heaven: God could only use the truth in His battle against sin, whereas Satan was able to use all kinds of lies and deceptive techniques. Sometimes the lies and deception can appear to be more successful, at least in the short run. If Truth will set you free, and Hope and security bring friendship and peace, then no amount of lies will withstand the friendship between saint and sinner. You, sir, make God a weak and enfeebled Person and make His adversary larger than what he really is...Your argument belies a lack of understanding of fellowship/friendship and truth and love and hope....which gives evidence to my complaint....Why are we not making full use of this weakness....???
