GreatLakesGramma Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 That depends on what the training and hoping are intended to accomplish. I could hope all I want to master a skill, but without some kind of training, it isn't ever going to happen. Without training there is no grounds for hope. On the other hand, I could get training in that same skill, hoping that with enough experience and practise, I can some day master it. But if I had no hope of ever mastering it, or even doing it adequately, where would I get the strength and determination to persevere through the training? It seems to me that for best results, hope and training need to work hand in hand. Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26. "To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you." -- C. S. Lewis
