Neil D Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Remember, this is just plain poor journalism....And you guys LOVE it.....Which means, poor information into your heads results in poor information coming out in a poor timely fashion.... Fox host apologizes for Sherrod-Waters mix up... Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw
Moderators lazarus Posted August 5, 2010 Moderators Posted August 5, 2010 Well, "they" all look alike to fox so are we really suprised. Quote Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence. Einstein
Moderators Gerr Posted August 5, 2010 Moderators Posted August 5, 2010 I'm waiting for Woody's take on this faux FOX news. Quote
GreatLakesGramma Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Why, Gerry? Do you enjoy seeing the fur fly? Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26. "To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you." -- C. S. Lewis
bonnie Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 A mistake was made.It seems a honest mistake.A sincere apology was given. One without disclaimers. What is it a adventist forum would like to see when a honest mistake is made? Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this. Quotes by Susan Gottesman
Woody Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 The day that MSNBC apologizes ... I'll turn over in my grave. Yet look at all the hand wringing we see here by the libs. You would honestly think they were after our blood. How much do we need to give? Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Neil D Posted August 5, 2010 Author Posted August 5, 2010 If you take the mistakes that MSNBC, CNN, Reuters, ABC,and add them together, you would find that they havent made the same number of mistakes as FauxNews. And they when they get it wrong, they quickly own up to thier mistake and appologize. Thier news does not get an honest goverment worker fired. What bothers me is this- while it has been documented as to the type. style and poor reporting of this sensational news organization, Adventists continueally watch this tabloid news. We have so much advise from EGW in not listening to gossip, that I wonder how a person who watches this news organization can honestly call themselves 'adventist' let alone, Christian.... We make all sorts of judgements against porn..Why do we continue to allow this journalistic porn into our homes? Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw
Woody Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 like the above Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

And as far as mistakes are concerned, they do make many and only a few do apologize for there mistakes. And I do agree the other stations actually do make less. Its the spin that's put on the report that really makes the difference. The other thing that I've noticed is how most stations report, with there spin of course, but fox newscasters seem to actually laugh and make remarks about certain people instead of just reporting the news, spin or no spin that's not right. And they when they get it wrong, they quickly own up to thier mistake and appologize. Thier news does not get an honest goverment worker fired. It is not the news cast that fired her. It was the white house. It was not important to hear her side for the white house.I have never worked for anyone that would fire a employee without investigating a charge. The mainstream news may very well escape scrutiny as they do very little reporting on democrats. If reported it is very soft core. Can you provide more documentation ? I watch very little TV so do not know.It seems those that love to gnash their teeth over gossip are always on top of any gossip going around. I wonder at those that question the christianity of another because of a news channel. I think we also have biblical advice of stepping into God's role and questioning whether those who watch fox should be called adventists. Quote: We make all sorts of judgements against porn..Why do we continue to allow this journalistic porn into our homes? Maybe because few on this earth believe anyone has been appointed TV czar and to determine what another watches. Even though I agree with you Neil, I don't agree that adventist should not watch them. Have you listened to KO with a objective ear.His mockery of fat people, women and many others? I don't know what he is like now but at the times I saw him he was an offense. Neither Neil or anyone else has the moral perfection to start questioning if someone should call themselves adventist or claim to be christian Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
