carole1012 Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Mt. Ellis Academy has entered a contest with Kohl's. Kohl's is giving 10 schools $500,000. Mt. Ellis DESPARATELY needs a new sewer system, and that is what they will be using the money for. You can vote 5 times between now and Sept 3. Would you PLEASE vote at the link below, and also share the link with your friends and family who are on FB too. Currently, Mt. Ellis is #22 in votes. They have 9,695 votes. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
carole1012 Posted August 11, 2010 Author Posted August 11, 2010 Just because Laurelwood closed does not mean that that will happen to Mt. Ellis. I don't think that one thing has anything to do with the other. I am asking people to vote to help Mt. Ellis if they choose to. You certainly don't have to vote. I think that Mt. Ellis is a very thriving school. I pray that it will stay open till Jesus comes. Quote

Moderators Gerr Posted August 11, 2010 Moderators Posted August 11, 2010 You did not say where Mt. Ellis Academy is. The voting site requires city & state, and there another Mt. Ellis. Is this the Mt. Ellis Adventist Academy in Bozeman, MT? Quote
carole1012 Posted August 11, 2010 Author Posted August 11, 2010 Mt. Ellis is in Bozeman, Montana. I am sorry. I didn't realize that I had to put a city. I just put the name of the school when I first signed up. Thank you, Gerry for helping. Be sure and invite all of your FB friends too. They have moved up from 30th place to just under 20th place today. They have to get into the top 10 to be considered. That is why they desparately need everyone's help. Quote
carole1012 Posted August 11, 2010 Author Posted August 11, 2010 Rudywoofs, this is a special opportunity. This has nothing to do with the conference. Kohl's is giving $500,000 to 10 schools. We are all trying to help. It seems you have a problem with this, so there is no point discussing it any further. The people that want to help will. Like I said before, no one is forced to vote. You are welcome to your opinion just as I am. I think that the school is VERY WORTHY of bringing it up to code. So, I am choosing to vote for it. I don't know why you have come across so argumentative about this from the very beginning. Like I have told you all along, you are welcome to vote or not vote. Whatever is best for you. I hope you have a great day. Quote
Outta Here Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Ooh, I can't vote. It's on one of those FB pages that requests to access all my information. I don't like those kinds of things. Especially when they request information that accesses my list of friends. Quote: Kohl's Cares is requesting permission to do the following: Access my basic information Includes name, profile picture, gender, networks, user ID, list of friends and any other information I've shared with everyone..Access my Profile information Likes, music, TV, movies, books, quotes and Education history Quote
carole1012 Posted August 11, 2010 Author Posted August 11, 2010 Aubrey, I never gave out any extra information other than what was already on FB. If you know of any friends that are already on Facebook, would you please share it with them. Thank you. :-) Quote
