Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted August 12, 2010 Members Posted August 12, 2010 I just received this email from my State Representative: Quote: Dear Ms. -deleted- : Thank you for contacting me to express your concerns with policy makers publicly acknowledging the threat cyberattacks pose to national security. I appreciate knowing your thoughts on this issue. I understand your concerns with the very nature of discussing cyber threats openly; however, I respectfully disagree that publicly acknowledging that cybersecurity is imperative to our national security empowers those seeking to harm Americans. On the contrary, I believe it is vital that our leaders recognize the importance of cybersecurity so that threats can be addressed before they harm Americans. At the same time, it is equally important that personal privacy be respected as government officials and their private sector partners work to secure cyberspace. Although we disagree on this particular issue, I respect your opinion and value your input. As Congress debates U.S. cybersecurity policy moving forward, I welcome your ideas and will keep in mind your concerns about making concerns about threats public. Thank you again for sharing your views on this issue. If I can be of further service, please contact my office at xxx-xxx-xxxx. With warm regards, XXXXX XX Member of Congress I never wrote/emailed to this man. This is weird. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
