To my friends who insist on saying Jesus in the original language, or something similar, I will only respond when my name is spoken in the original language as well.

What's the original language? How is it said?

"Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much." - Oscar Wilde

Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets." - Jesus

Funny thing is that I have this 12-step friend who is an atheist and always pronounces Jesus' name in Aramaic.

You didn't say either what your given name is, what the original language is, of even if "Stan" is only a nickname unrelated to your given name.

But I did find that the names beginning with "stan" were of Old English origin, and usually had something to do with rocks, or a rocky field. (How'd I do?)
