Kountzer Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 I wanted to say weird sabbath, but I'll leave it as unusual. I got dehydrated and felt dizzy, and eventually fell. My wife thought I had a really serious seizure, heart attack, stroke, etc. Paramedics were called. People were milling all around me, in a frantic hurry. Paramedics checked all my vital signs and said they were normal. But they said my keytones, or something like that were really low, and that I was dehydrated. I never experience anything like that before. There's more to the story than that. Like the fact that when I first started feeling faint the Pastor had just started an altar prayer for people sick. And after that the deacons were supposd to pick up the money. If I had fell during that, Wow! The Lord kept me aware of all that, and I made it to the back and sat down. I am better now. It could of been worse. DB aka Kountzer Quote I prayed for twenty years but received no answer until I prayed with my legs. Frederick Douglass
Liz Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 I'm glad you are better. Do you have one of the types of diabetes? You don't want ketones. Did they take you to the hospital, or just treat you there at the church? I bet it was scary for your wife. Quote For what will a man be profited, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul? Neil D Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Hmmmmmm.....I wonder..... If ketones were low, then I would suspect a hypoglycemic condition....that means low blood sugars... On the other hand, if you had high ketones, then I would suspect diabetes, a hyperglycemic condition [too much sugar] Someone correct me on this if I am wrong...Nan? Gerry?
