What do you do with the problem of fly splatter?

We recently had a rash of flies. I took a fly swatter and squashed them on the wall. We then had the issue of what to do with the issue of the flies on the wall.

The following regarding what I did was a stroke of genius I thought. In fact ... I might patent it.

Yes, I went down to the Hardware Store and purchased a can of spray paint. I buried those pesky flies with spray paint and it worked out SUPER.

Cleaning the walls would have been easier.

I'm surprised you didn't lick them off the wall, Woody--what with your genius mind!

Is the wall as smooth as it had been, or is it now bumpy?

Yes, washing the walls would have been better. They even have an eraser that you use dry to remove 'stuff' off of walls and doors.

BTW Did your paint match the original color?

Woody, I can NOT believe your wife is going to let you get away with such a stunt. If it were me, believe me, you would be in the dog house BIG TIME right now!

I take it that you already had paint on the walls? Not wallpaper or anything? Did you match the spray paint with the original on the walls? You sure you don't live in a trailer park? I swear that's what some of my neighbors would do.

Even my husband, who I have to clean up after all the time, scowled in disgust when I told him what you did, Woody.

Yes, but not nearly as inventive.

No. But it has some unique and rich texture to it that it didn't before.

Well ... I can make no guarantee about a color match. As I've confessed before ... I'm color blind. But the paint I used was white. I had to do several coats to cover the black flies.

Yes dgrimm. I have. But so far not many are supportive of me. Surely you'll come around for me.

Woody, is this something you seriously did? Or, are you "pulling our leg"?

Does it really matter? reyes

Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

Okay since you asked. This was meant to be comedy or humor. At the same time it has an element of truth. As many of you know ... I enjoy putting my worst foot forward so to speak. It gives us something to talk about during 'dry' times. HA HA.

The rest of the story is that this actually did happen but I provided some embellishments. As Liz suggested ... this was kinda a trailer story. It actually did happen in my trailer. I was in the process of spray painting the wall of my trailor where there was a stain. We went camping and had lots of flies visit as does happen when one goes camping.

When we got home I tried to finish the painting but the fly spots got in the way . I was going to wash them off first but didn't think they were in the way. Well ... they got painted anyways. I still need to go and wash off them flies. But the paint didn't help my chore.

Now you know the rest of the story. So is the story truth or fiction? I would pick truth with a little fiction.

Woody you need to come to the Holbrook school of painless killing. With my Karate, Jui Jitsui, Kung Fu, and other skills that I won't speak of here, I can, with fly swatter in one hand, and outstretched fist on the other hand. With one lightning fast fluid motion, smack the fly with the fly swatter, and withdraw all at the same time. So that it kills the fly instantly, without smashing him against the wall. The fly never feels a thing. He dies without ever knowing what hit him, and simply drops to the floor. There he can be vacuumed up later on.

PS: You do have to forcefully exhale with a gutteral sound similar to the one Bruce Lee used to make, at precisely the right moment. But this too can be learned at the Holbrook School of Painless Killing.
