SivartM Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Yes I have, back in '72. The company I worked for in NY, Faith For Today, moved to California. Hey, my great-aunt (maybe several of them, I forget) worked for Faith For Today in NY. Probably long before you, though. Anyway, back to topic... Guest Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Yes I have, back in '72. The company I worked for in NY, Faith For Today, moved to California. So we drove with our stuff in tow. My car broke down there, so we drove to the GC and on the way down the road they had a shop that was open and they were able to fix the problem. My wife actually lived near Phoenix when little and she had been there before. Wow pk, I didn't know you worked for Faith For Today. What did you do there? Quote

Overaged Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 I was under-clothed while I was at the Grand Canyon, made me almost frozen into ice cube (kahkahakh)..too cold of -3 degree CelsiusI guess we will never have the pleasure of meeting you here in Canada where I live? In the winter I have seen it go down to between minus 30 to minus 40 degrees Celsius! Quote "People [rarely] see...the bright light which is in the clouds..." Overaged Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr LOL, well even then I don't like to let summer go so when it goes down to that cold I can be seen going for a bike ride, as long as the snow is not too deep on the roads Quote "People [rarely] see...the bright light which is in the clouds..." Dottie Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Apologies for not saying anything earlier, but I'm not on every day. Anyway, Maria, I thought the song and the voice were beautiful. It's wonderful to hear the Scriptures set to music. Do you have more? Quote

The mater of fact I do like Spring, and Autumn..but of course not the stormy cold winter. - 30 deg cel is freezing, I am not sure if I like that but I fancy playing with the white and clean snow like a little girl (kahkahkah). I guess in Heaven, the temperature will be just nice for us to fly from another planet to the other. I longed for Heaven. oh yea..might visit Canada one day in future(Wink) GBU Quote The rules of life - Love and serve God - Remember choices, not circumstances, determine the flavor of our lives - Live each day so that you'll never be afraid of tomorrow nor ashamed of yesterday

MariaS Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Hi PK, thanks for the compliment of my voice. we will have a big event of christmas charity concert end of this year. I am looking forward to it Quote The rules of life - Love and serve God - Remember choices, not circumstances, determine the flavor of our lives - Live each day so that you'll never be afraid of tomorrow nor ashamed of yesterday
LifeHiscost Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 cold of -3 degree Celsius (not sure how much in Fahrenheit) minus 3 celsius=26.6 farenheit. Just google celsius farenheit and some links to conversion tables will appear. I haven't heard you sing but if it's a sweet as you look I'll enjoy. P.S. Just heard you sing Maria. I think you might find a spot on 3ABN if you were to send in an audio. You have a beautiful voice. We have a friend, not close, from one of the churches in this vicinity we encouraged and she now gives praise to God regularly with the family reunion singing group. Try it, and if that's where God wants you, we'll be looking forward to seeing you there sometime between now and when Jesus comes. Hallelujah!!!! God blesses! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
MariaS Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Hi LifeHiscost, thanks for the tips.
