fifiqueen Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Hi All, Can you help me? On 23-25 September 2005 I'll be participating in a very special event called The Weekend to Breakthrough Breast Cancer. I'll walk 60 kilometres over the course of one weekend with thousands of other women and men. All proceeds will support breast cancer research and education at Breakthrough Breast Cancer. I've agreed to raise at least £1,500, but I've set my personal goal at £3,000]. So I need your help. Would you please consider making a donation of £20? Use the link at the bottom of this email, and visit my site - and please take the time to support me. Please keep in mind how far I'm walking - and how hard I'll have to train. According to Breakthrough Breast Cancer, one in nine women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. That's why I'm walking so far. To do something bold about breast cancer. I hope that you'll share this incredible adventure with me - by supporting me in my fundraising efforts. One last thing, I have never done anything like this in my life before and I would really like to make a difference. So please pass this on to your contacts and hopefully together we'll exceed my target. Thank you in advance for your generosity! cricket Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 A challenge to all: I am willing to match funds donated by any Club Adventist member (must be registered before today's date) up to a personal total of $1000 USD. For example, Stan just donated some money. If he donated $20, I'll match his donation of $20. Then, if someone else donates another $20, I'll match theirs as well. My personal total can go up to $1000. Maddie, please let me know a week in advance how much you were able to raise through Club Adventist. Then, I will match those funds. Chrys (Thank you so much, Maddie for supporting this cause. Your efforts will not go unnoticed to families like mine who face the challenges that breast cancer brings.) Quote

fifiqueen Posted March 8, 2005 Author Posted March 8, 2005 Hi Stan, It's not showing so you might need to do it again. Either way thank you so much, it doesn't matter how much it just matters that you are willing to give. I have to praise God in this because this time last year I was so overweight I could not have considered doing this. I am still overweight but no where near what I was. I am sure that this walk is my destiny a growing process for me. God is so God! Thanks again Fifiqueen X X Quote No More Limits, With God All Things Are Possible

cricket Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 Quote: You will need to tell Christine how much you are donating as well so that she can match it!! Maddie, I know that this would be easier than having you tally it up, but it also might cause some frustration for people here. Just as our church treasurers should not share tithe and offering amounts from individuals, I think it is important that the privacy of these donations be upheld. Instead of everyone writing me to let me know how much they've donated, will you please tally the numbers as they come in and let me know of a "grand total" about a week before you have to have your numbers in officially? There is no need for any of us to know who gave what--only you and the breast cancer foundation need know. It is a little difficult for us to do that with my "challenge", but at least the anonymity and integrity of our C/A members can be upheld. Does this sound reasonable? Am I too far out on a limb to ask this? What do you think? What do others think? Just wanting to do what's right, Chrys Quote
fifiqueen Posted March 9, 2005 Author Posted March 9, 2005 Amelia, send it to them and just send me a message to say you did and how much. Thanks Quote No More Limits, With God All Things Are Possible
fifiqueen Posted March 9, 2005 Author Posted March 9, 2005 Christine, I think that you are right and I did think about that when posting. So fine I will keep the tally and let you know that total. Thanks again Quote No More Limits, With God All Things Are Possible
