ChildofChrist Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 I arrived a while ago. Made some friends and even met some of the members as I began to travel later. I've lost family members, Great Aunt, Uncle, Dad, son, Sister, Niece, my marriage, job and friends plus more along the way. I gave up my home, pets, home church and became a gypsy. Along the route, I've taken on a new vocation, 'caregiving'. Also...thanks to busy grandchildren, they've given me three new members plus 4 great grandchildren. Let me tell you, they are even more fun than grands. I would like to suggest that great grandchildren ought to come first! The first year on the road, I visited more than 37 churches between January and December. (Most conference pastors don't log that many.) I have changed. When I first signed up, I ran into problems when I mentioned a friendship with a former renegade pastor. So under Stan's direction, I registered under this current name. I lived a sheltered life. Little to no problems, no loss of family or friends. But it seems that the Lord wanted me to see that this planet earth was not my home. Lesson well learned. CA was a grounding force when I didn't know where my next stop would be. Now, I pop in only a few times a month to see what might be happening to familiar folks here and see who's new. There are folks that I miss---still, like Del Star but I have her daughter, Li'Star as a friend. Although there's more, I'll just say...'nuff said. Quote Wakan Tanka Kici Un ~~Child of Christ~~

Your assumption is that Stan is the "police officer" and not a participant to the discussion....That is a grave mistake in learning truth... Text does not transfer well at all, I can say this as we have met a couple of times, the ones that would like you zapped, and I have not done this, would read your text significantly different, if they had met you face-to-face heard you humour and presentations. Some of the 'battles' here have really got out of hand, both by you and the others. There is still an elephant.... Aliensanctuary Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I came across CA unintentionally in a search. Shortly afterwards, it became the catalyst for reawakening my interest in spiritual things. This resulted in a significant change in my attitudes and behaviors and interest in studying the Bible. Except for DA, I spend most of my study time searching the Prophets and Gospels and Rev. for clues about the events and sequence of the Last Days. Maybe someday I will be able to figure it all out. Some here are like Pit Bulls and Dobermans, viciously defending their ideas, or attacking or killing others, if necessary, in order to dominate. When I mentioned 'like minded people' I was also thinking about people I meet everyday in real world situations. Most if not all of them are closed minded to many of the things I believe as a sda.
