Administrators Gail Posted September 28, 2010 Administrators Posted September 28, 2010 Even though I am not into Halloween, I do like costume parties. I saw this and chuckled: Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Administrators Gail Posted September 28, 2010 Author Administrators Posted September 28, 2010 Outlet and socket. Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Dottie Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 I have a different opinion. I think it's vulgar. Maybe it's because I deal with a child who would pick up on that immediately and not see any humor at all, but would learn more than he is ready to know. Quote
GreatLakesGramma Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 I felt the same way, Dottie, and I don't have any young children. Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted September 29, 2010 Administrators Posted September 29, 2010 I have a different opinion. I think it's vulgar. Maybe it's because I deal with a child who would pick up on that immediately and not see any humor at all, but would learn more than he is ready to know. I think that any child that makes the connection (hah!) already knows... Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal." "I love God only as much as the person I love the least." *Forgiveness is always good news. And that is the gospel truth. Administrators Gail Posted September 29, 2010 Author Administrators Posted September 29, 2010 I didn't think it vulgar at all- any more vulgar than a real outlet and plug, that is. I liked it! Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted September 30, 2010 Administrators Posted September 30, 2010 Yes, I would agree! I thought it rather clever. A perception of it as vulgar may well reflect back more clearly on the observer than what is projected by the picture... Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted September 30, 2010 Members Posted September 30, 2010 I think maybe it's the positioning of the outlet and plug that's a bit on the racy side. Exactly. yes, if the plugs position had been higher... on the other hand, it could be a perfect opportunity for using it as an object lesson like the vine and branches Jesus used. the outlet is God and if we plug into Him and let His current run through us....someone better than i could finetune that thought... :) Quote facebook. /teresa.quintero.790
Administrators Gail Posted October 1, 2010 Author Administrators Posted October 1, 2010 The thought did cross my mind that the plug should have been at the end of the cord. Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Woody Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 The thought did cross my mind that the plug should have been at the end of the cord. I think it is isn't it. The cord goes over his shoulder and down his back and into the plug. As far as I can see it anyways. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
teresaq Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 the end of the cord we do see, i think, is just not attached to the lamp or whatever a cord might be attached to... Quote facebook. /teresa.quintero.790
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted October 2, 2010 Members Posted October 2, 2010 I still don't understand why this was okay to post, but posting an animated video that briefly showed a sheep without clothing was not okay. Amelia Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 It was not brief and the goat was flaunting human genitalia. The object of the costumes are not human genitalia. Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted October 2, 2010 Members Posted October 2, 2010 It was an animated CARTOON advertisement for a knitting company shown on public television. A sheep (and all other animals) *do* have genitalia! Should the sheep be wearing clothing?? This was shown to a number of people, including two pastors, who did not think it was sexually suggestive in any manner. I guess it all depends on the person viewing something as to where one's mind is at. Enough now of grandma's good beans... * * * * * * * * * btw, Would someone like for their children to wear those costumes shown above????? Would one think they were "cute"????? Considering the comments on this forum, the answer is, most likely, yes. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup.
