Administrators Gail Posted October 1, 2010 Administrators Posted October 1, 2010 I haven't followed up on this yet but I thought I heard on the radio on the way to work today that we (Canada) have a new Governor-General, a David Johnston from Ontario. I really liked the last one- Michaëlle Jean. She was young, black and very attractive The Governor-General is the Queen's representative in Canada. I'm not sure if it is a higher rank than Prime Minister, equal, or what. Stan, help me on this please! Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Stan Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 The GG calls the election, signs all the dollar bills, as well as putting his signature to make bills from Parliament law. In other words, the GG is the Head of State of Canada.
