Stan Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I was always under the impression that the 10c have always been, and that it is was not a new thing for planet earth. It is clear it will be celebrated in Heaven, but was it celebrated before this tiny little planet existed? Moderators Gerr Posted October 3, 2010 Moderators Posted October 3, 2010 If there is no marrying and giving in marriage in heaven among the angels, there would hardly be any need for the 7th commandement. And since everybody probably has everything he/she needs or desires, there would hardly be any need for the 8th & 10th commandment? Quote
Stan Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 If there would be no law, there would have been no sin. There are really only 2 commandments, the 10 define those better. It does not seem reasonable to me, that the Sabbath, that will clearly continue for ever in heaven, was invented here. Guest Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Something to think about. I tend to lean towards always been. We know there was a law in heaven, because that's what Satan said there was no need of, and fought against. Hence, The Great Controversy. Quote

They have love in their beings. They have no propensity to sin. If I make a law that commands a criminal to steal, lie and cheat, he'll look at me like I am crazy. Do you know why? Because his nature is in harmony with those traits. He has a nature that is in harmony with selfishness. The opposite of this is true of being in heaven. They have a nature that loves righteousness - a nature that is unselfish - a nature that loves unconditionally. :bible: Quote
Rondo Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Guys, the New Covenant will be for eternity with some more tweeking from God since we will be in heaven. The text in Isaiah about Sabbath being celebrated from one Sabbath to another anf from one moon to another, is speak of the time. What would you need Sabbath fulfilled in Jesus is always present. Surprises me about Stan's opening remarks, that Sabbath and the law had always been around. First the 10 Commandments talk of creation and could not be part of any heavenly law. And God, what does he need a special day when we are all worshipping Him everyday and His Son. Quote The 10 essence of Old Covenant
