Nicodema Posted March 11, 2005 Posted March 11, 2005 We do err when we think we reach a certain age and we are beyond influence. We see how impressionable are the young, and imagine it is only they who are at risk, that we are not like them in this respect. Though the types of impressions may change, and the manner in which they are made shifts, they will come indeed, and we shall be as persuaded and ensnared as any youth, albeit unawares, for we, being the elder, have not the elder to sound the alarm in our ears. We are never too old to guard the citadel of the mind. Comments? Quote "After such knowledge, what forgiveness?" -- T.S. Eliot
Moderators Nan Posted March 12, 2005 Moderators Posted March 12, 2005 Yes Nico - I see it in various phases of my life, including professionally hoping my colleagues agree with decisions made under stress. That is fair and reasonable, it is more of a concern when it comes to moral judgements and actions deriving from them. Quote

Seems I recall that Jesus is known to be our Elder Brother. Does that give us some edge if we continue to remember this verse and apply it to our ownselves. [:"red"] "And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." [/] Matthew 18:3 KJV Lift Jesus up!! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
