Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted October 20, 2010 Members Posted October 20, 2010 Sent to me via email earlier today, thought it was interesting: "Early on, they set aside a space to pray daily, and religious groups have converged on the mine to serve the miner’s spiritual needs. Once a supply line was established, Seventh-Day Adventists sent down mini-Bibles with magnifying glasses; the Jesus Film Project loaded 33 MP3 players with an audio adaptation of the famous JESUS film. A crucifix was sent down in August, and it’s said that miners also requested statues of Mary and the saints. The miners signed a flag which was presented to Pope Benedict this weekend." Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
Dottie Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 I just received an e-mail that showed a picture of one of the miners as he came out. He was wearing a red, and blue shirt with a white star that said "Gracias, Senor. Thank you, Lord!" and carrying one of the little Bibles they received. Quote
Moderators John317 Posted October 21, 2010 Moderators Posted October 21, 2010 I think the picture is of the miner who is SDA. Is that the one? Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
